Taste of Cape Town

On Thursday evening I was able to visit The Taste of Cape Town.
It was the third year I've been and every year its a little different.
I managed to sample some of the yummy food on offer and wander around with my partner, we saw  cool demos, tasted things to drink and wandered around the stalls where there was plenty to buy. Here are a few of the photos I took. As usual I took way to many and found it hard to pick which ones to show you! hope you enjoy :)

taste of cape town, sapphire gin, blue, cocktails, betty bake, bombay sapphire gin
Bombay Sapphire Gin had a pretty blue stall with people buying cocktails from them. I didn't taste any of them but they sure looked pretty.

Taste of Cape Town, betty bake, bains whisky, food and whisky pairing, drinks
Bain's Whisky did a nice whisky and food pairing in the chefs theatre which we went to. They also had a vibey drinks and live music tent of their own.

Taste of Cape Town, chandelier, MAlika Van Reenen, proteas, Signal Restaurant, Cape Grace Hotel, food
Signal Restaurant had a beautiful stall with chandelier, proteas and other lovely decor... I could have easily taken the decor home with me. But the food was just as good especially the Slow Roasted Beef Short Rib dish... I want it again!

The Brasserie, scotch egg, Azzure, Chalmar beef, meat, proteas, Betty Bake, Taste of Cape Town
There were lots of great restaurants at The Taste of Cape Town. Above was The Brasseries scotch egg, Azure Restaurants Chalmar Beef Fillet, and more pretty proteas from Signal Restaurants stand

live music, band, jack daniels, gentleman jack, oysters, The Lady Oyster, Taste of Cape Town
While walking around there is various places to hear live music so depending on what mood you are in you can hang out where the tunes are to your taste :) a bottle of Gentleman Jack on display and some oyster shells from The Oyster Lady

Lindt, Taste of Cape Town, Lindt chefs, flavours of Lindt, Betty Bake, Chocolate
Now what would life be without chocolate?!!! Lindt had a large tent selling and demonstrating how their chocolate was made and of course you could taste some of it too

My favorite photo of the evening was the one below:
I just loved how it came out and couldn't decide between black and white or colour. I was standing quite far away and never asked these guys to pose but everything just seemed to fall into place.

jack daniels, Old No7 , Taste of Cape Town, black and white, betty bake, stall, whisky

colour, jack daniels, whiskey, whisky, old no7, taste of cape town, betty bake blog, stall, fun, pic

Jack Daniels had a nice large area and tent where you could hang out. They also had 2 Oceans Vibe radio playing music and broad casting from there.

Taste of Cape Town is a large event and you can't experience all the food and drink in one session. Many people visit more than once in a weekend to see and taste more.

I enjoyed the walk around and tasting.

I would like to say a big thank you to The Cape Grace for inviting me and Taste of Cape Town for the media pass they gave me :)

PLEASE NOTE: I was given a media pass to this event. But the photos, thoughts and comments are completely my own.
