So over the past few months I have been blessed to attend a variety of events. A few stood out that I thought I would share with you.




Discover Delicious
The V&A Waterfront hosted media at a lunch to launch their winter campaign called Discover Delicious. A very cool promotion inviting people to eat at the Waterfront and share what they are having via social media. There is a chance to win a R5000 gift voucher each week... A nice incentive to snap and share a photo of what you are eating.

I enjoyed this lovely chocolate tart at Emporio Leone as part of the Discover Delicious campaign ... YUM


Gordon Ramsay
Checkers and Computicket very kindly sent me to see Gordon Ramsay live at the Food and Wine Show at the CTICC. To say that I was thrilled to watch him live and meet him in person is an understatement! He was so very comical and even nicer in person.
I also got a personally signed/autographed copy of his cookbook - yay!

I felt very spoilt and so appreciated the ticket and being able to meet Mr Ramsey himself.



Checkers Wines of the World

Checkers hosted a wine tasting at the Cooks Playground (a cooking studio kitchen that belongs to Jenny Morris). I got to attend the wine tasting as well as help prepare (along with some other bloggers) some of the eats for the event.

Spier Twitter hunt
Spier had this cool twitter hunt in Cape Town where you had to drive to an address, dig up a clue, tweet it for help from your followers and then proceeded to a venue (everyones was a different place) and collected your prize! It was super fun and fresh idea.

This is where I collected my prize from. I won some wine and lunch for two at 8 restaurant at Spier wine farm. YAY!
