Pink and Chocolate cake

I thought I would share some photos of the birthday cake I baked for my kids 9th birthday in February. I used the all to popular Sweet Potato Chocolate cake recipe (gluten-free) and iced it with a
pink butter cream icing and then layered on top with a 70% dark melted chocolate... It was a huge hit and we fought over who was eating the last slice... The birthday girl had plenty!

Theme: Pink and gold. I purchased jungle animals and sprayed them gold. I used a gold sequenced piece of fabric as a back drop. White was the neutral colour palette for plates and any other useful things that weren't to shine through and grab attention away for the cake and accessories.

Don't the little gold animals look like they are going to escape? Just walk off the table and disappear into a little safari...
